Hawes Primary Class 2

The Snail and the Whale Project

Here is Class Two's mini movie. It is great to see that you have been involved in a project that started on the other side of the world!

Class Two Sing

Here we are at the start of the year and it's nice to see the very young children in class two having a go at doing their own assembly. I must admit it made me smile to think of how hard it is to sing in front of an audience without your front teeth!

Puppies visited

Casslyn's Mum and Dad very kindly brought their two gorgeous puppies in to visit us in class. We all thought they were lovely and really enjoyed them visiting, Mrs Ward was even consdering hiding one in her bag to take home!!

Mosaic Work

Here is a picture of the Mosaic work that we completed in March to give to somebody special. They were lovely and colourful and looked fantastic when all put together. We all spent a lot of time on our Mosaics and had fun creating them.

This week we took the opportunity to bring all of Year 4 together so that they could concentrate on some artwork. The attached photos are the result of their photography and their manipulation of those photos through using, www.befunky.com   The children and I were very pleased with their end result.

Thinking about habitats...

This is a nice activity, especially when done in a wood. All the main issues of habitat can be suggested through discussion. Today a boy was running along shouting, "we're running out of food, we will become extinct!" How many good starting points does one need?

Pancake Day

Pancake_day

We had lots of fun mixing pancake batter and then cooking and tossing our own pancakes, we even got to eat them with lemon juice and syrup. Which part of pancake day did you enjoy best; the making, tossing or the eating?

Electrickery!

Kian and James are on fire ... we are 'rocking' when it comes to story writing and they are pretty good at reading their adventure stories as well.
The thing I liked best about this story was when we all became distracted, when we were writing it and ended up playing pirates in my office! Ha, Haaaaaaaaa!
